With a bit of imagination, it could become a great storage business, a boutique eco-retreat, an eco project such as a solar farm, or something else entirely – Everything would be subject to the necessary legalities and permission to change its use. There have been unofficial suggestions that suitable projects would be favourably looked upon.

A similar property, Lena Village, in Mortagua (about 20km away) has already been converted to a successful spa hotel and eco-resort with self-contained triangle 'tiny homes' for eco-tourism, and long-term stays during the winter months, providing year-round income.

There’s also the possibility of buying the neighbouring land with 300m of road frontage onto Rua do Apeadeiro and opposite the train station – I can put you in touch with the owners. This neighbouring land is around 5000m2 and it is available for €50,000. The well was installed about 4 years ago

The water is drinkable and is pumped to a storage tank in the attic. It is plentiful all year round. There is another pump in the attic that gives the tap water lots of pressure.
